For the second year the Monroe Vineyard was proud to be part of the Relay for Life Cancer Foundation fundraiser at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. We handed out over 500 bottles of iced water and met many great volunteers and suvivors.
The Monroe Vineyard held its second annual Mother's Day outreach handing out carnations to mothers at two nursing homes, Medilodge and Tendercare, here in Monroe. It was a great experience.
Kindness Outreach projects are near and dear to our heart. We love to go out and share God's love to the people of Monroe through simple acts. In May we handed out between 300 - 400 carnations to Mom's in three nursing homes and the hospital. In July we handed out 500 bottles of iced water to the fundraising walkers at this year's Relay for Life. In August we handed out nearly 300 bottles of water to the folks visiting the Art Fair. Later in August we assisted the folks at the National Guard Armory in sending three truckloads of supplies to victims of Katrina in Louisiana. In October we had a clean-up fix-up day at the River Park Plaza assisted living apartment complex and returned in November to have a worship service there. Please join us in our next project. Watch for it on this website.
